Beware of what you post online
Some people may forget that whatever they post online describes who they are. Twitter, facebook, myspace, flickr, etc. are not tools for companies to investigate their possible job candidates.
Somewhile ago a user on a popular flash forum emailed the admins asking for the removal of his posts because they were appearing in google and that was smth that he didn't like because he was not very helpful or friendly in those forums.
People don't realize that what they post publicly on the net can be find by others.
A year ago I approached a company asking for a partnership. On our first meeting they accepted that they did a search about us, me and other employees on the net so they could know if we were a serious company.
Last week i was having lunch with a head hunter and she told me that they look into popular social media websites like facebook, hi5, etc. for an specific person in order to read their comments, look at their friends, etc.
This shocked me! but to say the truth, it's very clever.
So after searching the web for similar examples i found what happened to be the most serious and stupid twitt.
Here is the complete story
Now you know guys; twitter, facebook, etc. are very nice tools but be aware that what you post can go against you in the future.
