When the solution is worst than the problem
I'm trying to be a little more healthy. I even started going to the gym and trying to eat fresh food. Before this i was a fast food addict, specially a "Bembos" addict. Bembos is a local burger restaurant which had a very old and bad looking online delivery service. Yesterday i thought on buying a burger combo and found out that they changed their website. Cool i thought but NO!
This is a perfect example of when a solution is worst than the current problem.
Their old site was bad lookin, had a couple of usability issues but was very stable.
Their new site looks nice so i was happy to see the change and went directly to place an order.
The buttons and how the website is organized is different but i can understand that since it's a new site, huh?
I looked for a burger (cheese & bacon is my favorite) and found that they now have check boxes for the extra sauces, cool! but... are they going to ship them separately? already over the meat? mmm... i better not check them...
hmm... the continue button doesn't work... lets refresh the screen... OK! it works now. Could be a browser hiccup.
Oh! A login form, i was registered before but since it's a new site lets register again.
"Please enter your username choice" -> fernando
"Please enter again your username choice" -> huh?
Huge form! Damn! I'm hungry!! ok, ok... sigh
"Thank you for registering, you will receive an email confirmation of your registration" so i waited.... i waited for 10 minutes and nothing! I'm starving!! Let's try to login without receiving the confirmation email.
It worked! Cool! Go to checkout.
Script dump error. hmm... why? I'm using Safari 4 beta so maybe thats why. Switched to firefox, logged in and same thing.
I have had enough of this!! Lets call them. WHAT!! No phone number on the website!!?? Are you kidding?
Lets wait for 5 minutes and then try again...
Cool! it worked! Step 2 of 3. Almost there :)
Continue button -> click... click click... mmm... click click click... mmMMM!!! click click click click click click click!!
Switching to the other laptop (pc laptop) and it worked. I even received an email confirming my order but the email had a broken image which is the logo but it's not that important at this point.
Frustating!
