Flash Video is everywhere!

I’m excited to finally be able to share this. We have been working on a project to make Flash Video known by everybody in this country.

Eye Catcher Media contacted us 3 months ago. They are an alternative advertising agency. They have more than 2 thousand screens around the country. 42’ plasma screens on malls, small screens on buses, gas stations, etc.

They had a huge problem managing all those screens. They had to burn dvds and ship them to the screen location (all around the country). This was tedious and inneficient so they contacted us seeking for a solution.

They told us about their experience with licensed solutions and how they didn’t like them so we started doing some research. The bes licenses solution they found was a product from sony but it was way too expensive (around 5k per location). Since they are just everywhere this was not viable.

After 2 months of hard work we are currently testing our solution on several malls and gas stations. Everything is working really great. At the end every screen will be remote controlled, will be able to stream live content using fms, show interactive advertising, real-time data consumption, etc. Everything is based on flash video and lots of linux. We decreased the invertion amount from 5k per location to 700 average per location!

Each screen is seen by no less than a thousand people each day! That means that on a bad day 20 thousand ppl will see and interact in some situations with flash and flash video!

This is stage 1 of the entire project. More to come really soon!
